Data Engineer

You build the data platforms behind our analytics and AI work: medallion lakehouses on Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, pipelines with tests and lineage, and handovers your client's team can run.

Remote-first across Canada, the United States and Mexico · Full-time or contract

Data Engineer

What you will do

  • Design and build lakehouse layers, pipelines and semantic models on Fabric and Databricks
  • Implement data quality tests, monitoring and lineage
  • Migrate legacy warehouses and reports in thin, reconciled slices
  • Set up Git-based deployment and documentation the client team owns

What you bring

  • Five or more years in data engineering on a cloud platform
  • Strong SQL and Python; Spark and Delta Lake experience
  • Fabric, Databricks or Synapse in production, including security and cost management
  • Habit of testing and documenting as you build

Nice to have

  • dbt, Unity Catalog or Purview experience
  • Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines
